A teenager from Mumbai, India recently had 232 teeth removed from his mouth. A dental tumor started to grow with in the patients mouth, and the excessive teeth were located under his lower jaw. Doctors say it will take a few months for the teen’s mouth to fully heal.
The surgery took a few hours and was paid for by a government program called, Rajiv Gandhi Jeevandayee Arogya Yojana, because the teen’s family could not afford the surgery. Doctor’s say the extra teeth started to grow when he was a child, however he didn’t notice until recently when his mouth began to swell causing pain.
